A Association for Nonprofit and Social Economy Research (ANSER) - this Canadian association is for those who have an interest in research that pertains broadly to nonprofit organisations and the social economy

Association for Research in the Voluntary and Community sector (ARVAC) - voluntary sector agency promoting effective community action through research
  Association for Research on Nonprofit Organisations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) - international sector research organization

  Association for Voluntary Action Research Ireland (AVARI) - VSSN's equivalent in the island of Ireland
  Avec Resources - resources and archives for researching church work and community work

Community University Partnership Programme, University of Brighton (CUPP) - CUPP aims to address social exclusion through partnership working between the University of Brighton and its local communities
C Carnegie Trust UK Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society - independent commission set up to strengthen civil society in the UK and Ireland

  Charities Evaluation Services - the UK's leading provider of training and consultancy to the voluntary sector on quality and evaluation systems
  charityinformation.net - is seeking through seminars and training to develop the concept of the Charity Information Landscape, a third sector resource exploring charities' web presence on the Internet

  Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) - the support (infrastructure) organisation for the voluntary sector in the sub-region of Greater Manchester

International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR) - international scholarly body in the field

N National Association for Voluntary and Community Action  (NAVCA) - the national voice of local third sector infrastructure in England

Quality Scotland Voluntary Sector Network - group of large Scottish charities who believe in organisational excellence and business improvement

Science Shops Network - international University/community partnership body
  Social Research Association (SRA) - association advancing the conduct, development and application of social research
  Social Services Research Group - an independent network of individuals who provide a range of research information, planning and evaluation in social care and health services
  Social Science Information Gateway (SOSIG) - social sciences information portal
  StudentCorner - European civil society resource portal for research, teaching and teaching

Third Sector European Policy (TSEP) network - brings together leading third sector and public policy researchers to initiate analysis of the development of European policy towards voluntary, nonprofit, NGOs or social economy organisations  
  Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC) - is a new centre dedicated to world class research that analyses, maps and develops further understanding of the third sector in the UK.

UK Evaluation Society (UKES) - aims to promote and improve the theory, practice, understanding and utilisation of evaluation

VolResource - popular online voluntary sector resource and information agency
  Voluntary Action History Society - exists to advance the historical understanding and analysis of voluntary action and to build a network of academics, students and practitioners working in this field
  Voluntary Sector Knowledge Network (Canada) - a useful source of 'the best of the best' sites on voluntary sector management
