Description of course |
The SHU MSc in Charity Resource Management is a part-time course,
normally taken over two years for people who work in the charity sector.
Participants come from small and large organisations, across the full
spectrum of charitable activity, but in all cases with a particular
responsibility for "resources" - i.e. fundraising/income generation,
financial management, or general management with oversight of these
areas. Each module involves attendance at the university for a four day
block (plus extensive private study). The fundraising modules are
validated by the Institute of Fundraising.
SHU has been offering postgraduate modules for the charity sector since
1999, and the MSc Charity Resource Management admitted its first
students in Jan 2006; a third intake started the course in Jan |
